A Woman and Her Powertools.

Never laugh at a woman and her powertools.  No, I don’t mean the “naughty” ones they keep hidden.  I mean Power Tools….. those things that are usually meant to be only for men.  If a woman knows how to use them and does something useful with them, do NOT laugh!

I say this because when I told my supervisor at work that I had been using power tools over the weekend, he said “that must have been ugly.”……  REALLY????    I take pride in my ability to make something usefull and, at times, even nice to look at with my tools.

Case in point:

A reptile enclosure, a “hug Hut” (teddy bear display) which was later transformed into a bunny cage, and an outdoor playpen for bunnies.  All home made, all built by a silly woman playing with power tools.  You wanna see something ugly from a woman using power tools, come to my house and piss me off……….  I’ll give you ugly!   LOL.

Theft of thoughts and feelings??

I submitted some of my poems for publication.  During “snail-mail” transit the publisher went out of business.  My poems were lost, left hanging out there for anyone to find and claim.  Shortly after, a song was released that echoed one of my poems.  I am only upset because my thoughts, my feelings, seemed to have been stolen and used for profit.  The song lyrics follow.  My poem can be found under “My Poems….. (the shadow)”…………… the title is “One More Time”…………..

Please let me know if you think I am wrong……..  Tell me it is just a coincidence.

“One More Day” by Diamond Rio:

“Last night I had a crazy dream A wish was granted just for me It could be for anything I didn’t ask for money Or a mansion in Malibu I simply wished, for one more day with you
One more day One more time One more sunset, maybe I’d be satisfied But then again I know what it would do Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you
First thing I’d do, is pray for time to crawl Then I’d unplug the telephone And keep the TV off I’d hold you every second Say a million I love you’s That’s what I’d do, with one more day with you
One more day One more time One more sunset, maybe I’d be satisfied But then again I know what it would do Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you
Leave me wishing still, for one more day Leave me wishing still, for one more day “

Share the wealth……………

So, how long before we who are willing and able to work have to give part of our paycheck to those who are unwilling to work?  I’m not talking about those people who abuse the “disability” act.  We’re already paying for them.  But what about your co-worker who decides that he/she cannot work as hard as you, is not as talented as you, and just doesn’t want to produce as much as you.  I wonder when we will be paid according to our needs instead of our productivity.  I see it coming, folks, under our current president.  “Share the wealth”, “spread the wealth around”, “take care of your brother” is his way of thinking.  I don’t know about you, my few readers, but I work hard for my paycheck.  Sometimes I feel that my paycheck does not represent my efforts, that I deserve to be appreciated more and paid a little more.  But still I work hard.  If I put less effort into my work I could not hold my head up.  If I slacked off because I decided to work according to my pay I would be miserable.  I was raised and taught to give my best, no matter what.  Others were raised and taught to believe that they deserve to be taken care of and supported by people such as me simply by virtue of their existence.

My thoughts?  If you are able but unwilling to work, you don’t deserve to be paid or supported.  Harsh?  Perhaps.  But I am tired of most of my paycheck going to those who won’t work.  I am tired of paying for someone’s drug addiction.  I am tired of the current government.

The reason for the Holiday

I’m not going to be preachy here.  I loved getting Easter baskets from my parents.  I took joy in making colored hard-boiled eggs and filling Easter baskets for my daughter.  But…..  I grew up knowing the TRUE meaning of Easter.  I told my daughter the story of Christ and His sacrifice for all people.  I just wonder how many people take even a second to think about what Easter truly means.  We are FREE, people!  If we believe in Christ, His death and resurrection, the FACT that He gave His life in our place, the FACT that we can be forgiven, washed clean by HIS blood………….   all our sins and transgressions forgiven and FORGOTTEN by God.  I think that as soon as a child is old enough to take joy in a basket filled with candy and toys, he/she is old enough to be told about and take joy in the price Jesus paid for our salvation.  Tell your children that even when they are naughty and don’t obey us we love and forgive them.  Tell them that Jesus will always love them and forgive them, as long as they confess.  He paid the ULTIMATE price.  Don’t let it go undeserved or unredeemed.  Accept HIS love, recognize HIS forgiveness.  Remember and cherish the TRUE meaning behind the holiday of Easter.

CAUTION! Explicit content!!

GOD Bless the USA…………  my thoughts.

“If tomorrow all the things were gone, I’d worked for all my life (as they may well be soon). And I had to start again, with just my children and my wife (spouse) (as Obama wants it to be).

I’d thank my lucky stars, to be livin here today. ‘Cause the flag still stands (used to stand) for freedom, and they can’t take that away (or can they??).

And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know (think) I’m free. And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me (even though the government and most people won’t recognize them).

And I gladly stand up, next to you (or by myself) and defend her still today (with the arms I still have rights to bear). ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, (censored by Obama) bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee. Across the plains of Texas, From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston, and New York to L.A. Well there’s (there WAS) pride in every American heart, and its time we stand and say.

That I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m (or used to be) free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.  (even though the government and most people won’t recognize them).

And I gladly stand up, next to you (or by myself) and defend her still today. ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,(censored by Obama) bless the USA.

And I’m proud to be and American, where at least I know I’m free(or used to be) . And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. (even though the government and most people won’t recognize them).

And I gladly stand up, next to you(or by myself)  and defend her still today. ‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, (censored by Obama) bless the USA.

So………… Obama want to take away our right to bear arms and our God.  He wants to take God out of schools, songs, books, even prayers.  Let’s not let him take God out of our hearts and minds, people!!  Stand up for what you believe in!!!!  Stand against Obama and PRAY for the man!   PRAY, in God’s Name, that he will be defeated.  Our once-great nation, founded on Christian beliefs and meant for freedom, cannot put up with, cannot endure this man who is bent on our destruction.  He will take away our freedoms one by one and impose his own will, his wish for our downfall instead.

Do I dare say it???   Yes, I do……………..   GOD bless the USA.

Evolution vs Creation…………

How to start this conversation………..

Let’s start with the evolutionist side.  We are a freak accident.  One day something crawled out of the primordial sludge and decided to grow legs.  Fast forward to a pair of apes who gave birth to a hairless, helpless creature.  The ONLY hairless being ever born to a pair of apes, mind you.  I have watched chimps and gorillas in zoos, and none of them have given birth to a human.  Did evolution suddenly stop?  If so, why did it stop?  Why aren’t we humans evolving into more “perfect” beings?  Why haven’t we grown wings, webbed feet, a second brain or third hand (don’t tell me THAT wouldn’t come in handy!)?  Personally, I see the human race de-evolving.  We are regressing to the caveman mentality.  Take what you want by force.  Don’t think it through or reason it out.  The survival of the fittest, not the hardest working or the most intelligent.  Just pick up a weapon and use it to get what you want (not necessarily what you need though).  Stay at home with your parents forever…….  life is good, no worries, no bills or stress…….  for crying out loud!  Even animals kick their kids out on their own eventually!!!

Now for the creationist side.  God created day and night, land and water, creatures that swam, crawled and flew.  Some that seem “weird” or “unusual”……  Then He created man.  In His own image.  He created him to care for and take charge of the other animals.  So man had to be more intelligent than the animals.  But He felt that man was lonely, and that was not a good thing, so He created woman.  A perfect fit for man.  Someone to help and support man.  Someone to bring forth more life.    It was good.  It was planned and wonderful.  Of course there was the “fall of man”………..  that was expected too.  God knew we couldn’t be perfect forever.  After all, He gave man a free will.  Freedom to obey or not.  Don’t eat this.  If you do there will be consequences.

So………..  do you believe that we are all “accidents” of nature?  Do we have no purpose in life but to live and die?  Or do you believe that man was truly created in the image of our Creator, created for a higher purpose?  Are we to simply exist as an “oops” in nature or are we to love, nurture and care for others?  Are we going to go back to the primordial sludge from which we evolved, or are we going to a brighter tomorrow, a Heaven where we can praise our Creator and live forever in His glory?  Is death a black abyss or a glorious new Life?

Let me tell you this:  I choose to believe in God.  I cannot believe that we could be an accident.  We were put here by Him for a purpose.  Maybe you can’t see it right now, but it is there nonetheless.  Did you smile at the single mother running the cash register today?  Did you pick up a ball that rolled away from a child?  Did you hold the door for someone’s grandmother?  The smallest act of kindness, the simplest gesture could mean the world to someone.  It may cost you nothing more than a few seconds, a slight movement of muscles, or the most meaningless act.  Meaningless movement in seconds that changes someones life.  The cashier doesn’t commit suicide, the child doesn’t run in front of a car, the grandmother gets into the hospital in time.

Everything has a purpose.  There are no accidents.  We were put here for His purpose.  We did not evolve by accident.  When I die I will not simply melt into the ground and become nothing but fodder for the worms.  I will be embraced in my Father’s arms and be reunited with the souls of those who went before me.  I will see the full Glory of God my Creator, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  I have no shame in stating my belief.  I have no questions.  I have only the belief that I am NOT an accident of nature.  I am a child of God.    I am here for His purpose, His glory.  I am cherished and wonderful in His eyes.  Why would anyone choose to believe differently??  Why would anyone choose to believe that we were an accident?  Why would anyone choose to believe that we have no purpose?

I say again………….. there are no accidents.

Can you say “Hypocrite”?

Hashim Nzinga, a leader of the New Black Panther Party, had been offering a bounty of $10,000.00 for the murder of or hate crime against Mr. Zimmerman (he said the death of Trayvon Martin called for “an eye for an eye, a life for a life”).     Mr. Nzinga has been arrested for………  possession of a firearm by a felon!!!!   Really, Mr. Nzinga?  You cry out for justice, say that the police and the government are not doing their job?  You asked for justice……  and justice has been served… against you.   I guess you thought you were above the law………  oh wait.   You did say that you don’t “obey the white man’s law, I don’t follow the American law.”…………….   Sorry, sir, but here in the USA we ALL have to obey the American law.  You were convicted of a felony (breaking the American law….. deposit account fraud) and knew that you were not allowed to have a firearm.  You chose to not follow the American law by having in your possession a firearm and *GASP!* were arrested for breaking the law!!!!   Figure it out.  Obey the law or GET OUT!!!

And please, don’t pull the “Race Card”…………  I am sick and tired of “African-Americans” crying about how their ancestors were ripped out of their native land and enslaved by the “white man”.  If you are all so upset about and tired of the “white man” keeping you down, go back to your beloved native land.  It is still there, just the way it was when your ancestors were ripped out of it.   If anyone should be upset about the “white man” it is the Native Americans.  But do you hear them crying “racist” or playing the race card?  No…….  they have figured a way to live with all mankind and even get them to give up their money willingly at casinos.

Am I racist? No.  Am I “white”? No.  Am I “african american”?  No.  What am I?   I am an AMERICAN and proud of it.
